| Happiness has kept me Sweet, |
| Trials have kept me Strong |
| Sorrows have kept me Human |
| Failures have kept me Humble |
| Successes have kept me Glowing |
| But God keeps me going! |
| |
| And my response; |
| His ways are beyond comprehension |
| But why should I comprehend? |
| Never a doubt; never asked why! |
| There was never a reason for that, |
| Felt akways the perpetual presence |
| |
| He blesed me with wisdom |
| From the very lap of my mum |
| And helped lay the foundation |
| Of faith with steely courage. |
| |
| On that I grew and flowered |
| Amidst gardens in many lands |
| A full seventy great years |
| And the fruits have been lovely. |
| |
| I can say without a second tarrying |
| That God ensured the surrounds |
| Wherever I roamed |
| These seven momentous decades |
| With a galaxy of ever present angels |
| In many forms to love, cheer and lead. |
| |
| And who said angels have wings? |
