DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS OF THE CHURCH OF SOUTH INDIA (JAFFNA DIOCESE)

 

60th anniversary celebrations of the diocese on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Vaddukoddai.

 

Church of South India was born on the 27th September 1947 in St. George’s Cathedral, Chennai and is now serving more than 4 million people through its 22 dioceses with 15 thousand congregations and more than 3000 clergy spread over in 4 States in India viz, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka & Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Jaffna Diocese is one of its founding 14 dioceses that came together on that historic day.
